there is a throttle-stop, this prevents the throttle valve getting stuck in the bore, put simply the valve is a perfet fit and if it fully closes it is liable to get stuck in that position, so a "stop" is employed to keep the throttle just a tiny bit open, but without increasing the idle speed, it is similar to an idle-control screw.
tighten this a little, so it keeps the throttle a little more open - check this diagram to find the stop adjuster screw.
You will need to get near the intake. You will need remove the air hose that goes to the intake. Once removed you will see the butterfly. Use a throttle body cleaner to clean inside and behind butterfly as best as possible. Use a screw driver to hold butterfly open to clean behind it. This should clear up the sticking of the throttle.

Pick up was running just fine when got home. Than went to start up and engine would not turn over.Checked battery and battery cables all Ok.Also can get engine to roll over with screwdriver to starter but engine will not start. Was told by local Chevy dealership that the problem is cluster panel sensor is bad.
