Me again with the1997 gmc stalling,i run a fuel test on the truk,it has good fuel pressure,i have noticed that when i shut the key off and go to restart the pump will not run i have to wait a minute or keep turning the key on and off till i hear it run (normal ?)could the engine module do that or could the fuel pump relay be going screwey, also ihave good solid oil pressure (40 to 50psi)this one is really stumping me.helpppp.
So what IS the fuel pressure. Saying its good, is not enough, what is it. What is the pressure when it stalls.
The fuel pump won't run until the pressure drops low enough to switch it on. This can take between 1-15 minutes, depending upon any fuel leeks etc.
This is the first time I have seen your post so I am unsure what your problem is,other than stalling.
Have you checked things like coil, HT leads(sparkplug),rotor cap and arm.???
Is the fuel clean? Any loose wires or connecters?

i have checked all we were down to the fuel or ignition control module,(hopefully) the truck will run fine then just shuts down ,have to wait a minute, then it will restart up fine, will do this after a min or so every time..never been stumped like this...
fuel pressure min is 60 psi
