Problem for Toyota 1995 Camry

I have toyota camry 95 and i brought a new starter

I have toyota camry 95 and i brought a new starter 4 months ago and it is working fine.the only problem i have sometimes is that it does not want to turn on.or turn over(no sound at all).i tested out the solineod and put a wire from the positive battery to the starter solineod on the on position and then the car turns on.i don't think the starter solinoed is bad. maybe a wireing or is there a secondary solineod?

- it's a 4 cylinder engine automatic...

If your car has a manual trans , maybe the clutch switch is intermittent. There is a switch that makes sure the starter won't engage unless the clutch is pressed.
Alternatively , if an auto trans , it won't turn over unless it is in Park. Again there is a switch for that.

no i think the problem exsist in the ignition switch i had a toyota celica that had the same problem so i would replace the ignition switch
