2003 Hyundai Elantra only has 35,000kms on it! Started leaking oil really bad, took it to mechanic, he fixed the engine seal, went and picked it up, leaking oil on the way home, took it back and they tell us the crank shaft is gone....how does that happen?

dear friend-your mechanic is not very convincing, did he perhaps use a pirate seal,or incorrect seal, according the km this car is still new,so it is not posssible for crankshaft to be damaged.please get a second oppion,as it might be that the leak is from somewhere else and not the seal in question.
