Problem for Chevrolet 1998 Camaro

98 Camaro 3.8 V6 stalls when started w/cold engine

I have a 98 Camaro 3.8 V6 that wants to stall a few seconds starting it if the engine is cold. It is a manual transmission so I can hold my foot on the gas to keep it from actually stalling but it obviously shouldn't be doing that in the first plance. After the engine warms up, you can turn it off and on all you want and it doesn't do it anymore. What could be causing this?

Sounds like your throttle body and throttle plate are full of carbon. You also have a idle air control motor with a pintle on the end that gets carbon on them.Go to your local parts store and get a can of throttle body cleaner and a old tooth brush and clean throttle body and plate and if you can remove the IAC and clean the pintle and bore. that should take care of your stalling.
