it sounds more like the pickup coil in the bottom of the distributor has gone out , not the coil pack.

check out these things a plug fuel filter, a bad fuel pump relay and the cowl pack if you are not getting any spark give these websites a try its www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your truck wish you the best of luck Michigan man.
