Problem for Saturn 1993 SC1

Got the codes checked and found the 52 code says

1993 saturn SC1.Got the codes checked and found the 52 code says Battery voltage out of range and the garage says its the alternator can i get a second apinion?

they are correct,you battery is not being charged ,have them check the system and see what needs servicing..could be the Alternator..

52 PCM sees a battery voltage either above 17 volts or below 11 volts.
If there is an Auto Zone around your area, you can got there and have them re-scan your car free of charge and will have the alternator in stock, if not there in a day with the step by step instructions to replacing it with common tools in under 1 hour and less if your good with tools.
Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted. Be glad to answer any more questions you may have. Note over charging the battery is worst then under charging, over charging will over heat the battery causing it to have a shorter life time.

Most likely either battery or alternator. Also clean all the connections. If its an old battery I would change the battery first. Though if you take out the alternator it can be tested. If you have any other questions let me know.
