my drivers side window will not go up with the switch but all other windows do. We have changed the switch twice and also the battery keeps going dead. THe alternator is good in the vehicle

Its the window motor that's dead. Does the window move slighty when you hit the switch? If so then the window is jammed and the rails need checking out. If you get nothing its the motor which is located within the door (as are the rails). You can pick up a replacement at a scrap car dealer. It might be this which is draining the battery.
