Problem for Volkswagen 2001 Golf
Seat toledo v5 wont start just turns over
seat toledo v5 has fault code with the camshaft to crankshaft sensors but was still working and running fine untill the other morning went to start it and turned over went to start but just didnt and ever since just turns over but doesnt even try to start .is sparking at plugs and fuel getting to fuel rail but wont start any ideas

If there is a problem with the crankshaft sensor then when you attempt to start it the ecm cannot confirm when number one cylinder is on top-dead-center thus not activate the 'open loop' part of the engine controller. I think the reason that it was running fine then would not start was because the only time the crankshaft sensor is used is when starting, not after while in closed loop.
