1986 K5 Blazer; 305 V8 most vacuum lines have been removed, put edelbrock carb on it. Truck is running fine, I just cannot get the blower motor to change of to defrost for winter driving. any ideas?...

The doors for your heater are vacuum controlled. Somewhere under your hood there is a vacuum tank. you probably have removed the vacuum source to this tank, which is wht your heat will not change. This tank may be in the shape of a round ball, and should have two small vacuum connections on it. One goes inside to your heater components, the other needs to be connected to a vacuum source on your engine.
