It's on the bottom of the engine. You'll see the oil pan (smooth, rounded edges) and the drain plug on one of the bottom edges. Problem is, you need to remove several T20 torx fasteners and the car's belly pan to access the oil drain bolt (should be 19mm wrench) on the Jetta.

I've noticed that when I turn off my 2006 Jetta that I have a minute or so to close the sunroof or raise the windows; then this function disables itself. This "accessory switch" seems to be active all of the time now. It's draining the battery overnight - drawing 2.7 Amps. Is there a bad relay?
