Problem for Nissan 2004 Sentra

2004 Nissan Sentra difficulty starting

I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra Spec V and I've noticed that it is having trouble starting. It is cranking over but difficult to start. The check engine light is also on now. The mileage is 71000. I'm thinking that it might need new plugs and wires or it could be something in the fuel injection. Is this an accurate assumption or am I missing something else?

check your fuel filter and changing the plugs couldnt hurt. make sure you use ngk or nd plugs for this. i am a big proponent of manufacturer parts. they were designed for the vehicle.
