SOURCE: DRIVER SIDE WINDOW OFF TRACK

you must pull door panel off (you can find the tool at any parts deals) then lift the window up with hands only it is hard but can be done get some one to hold the window glass up and check to see if any parts have fall if so put back on or replace. if not missing clean track and crank up to glass and line up. wind up and down to make sure it stay and then re-place door panel. hope this works it did for me on my 95 contour

SOURCE: 94 continental power window problem

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to pull off the seal in order to see inside the door. There should be two bolts holding down the inside guide rail and two bolts holding down the outside guide rail

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Pull back the weather seal and you can readjust the window mechanics.

1991 oldsmobile cutlass supreme drivers side window keeps coming out of track, how do I fix

Hi,
generally the door panel has to come off. With the panel removed you can see the tracks. There is an adjustment for each track, and you can observe the action of the window in the track as you operate the window. slacken both track adjustment bolts if fitted, operate the window untill fully up, tighten each adj bolt and operate the window through the cycle. Make any further adjustments as needed. When correct install the door panel, and recheck the operation of the window.

Good luck.

My 2004 acura rsx. the window track clips dont stick to the window when they go down. so the window works fine when it goes up. but doesnt come down with the track clips. is there a adhesive i can buy. or...

I had the same problem with our 2004 RSX. First the driver's side window now the passenger side. They tried to glue the window back twice (driver's side) and ended up having to replace the window and tabs. Now the passenger side did the same thing. My wife put up the window and it kept going, coming out of the track. I'm assuming the window will have to be replaced. Waiting for Acura's ruling. Must be a flaw in the tabs/glue...should have been a recall.

The driver's side power window is skipping or

Most likely the rail has come loose inside the track you can drill a hole and put a #20 nut and screw in it to hold it tight so it won't move the track is the most common thing to wear out on the window. once you repair it it should be fine check all four corners the most common break is in the lower right side looking at the door with it open. Also the track will come loose as well and that can cause you the same problem, with the cover off the door operate it so you can determine which area it is jumping from and then fix it. also lube the tracks with synthetic grease to keep it from being hard to roll up also lube the rollers in the bottom of the track.
