- also replaced relay monday, did not help

- 1995 YJ, 2.5 4 cyl engine. when stalled engine turns over but does not start, there is spark at plug. fuel filter changed monday. no check engine light. also replaced relay monday. yesterday car started abd idled for 30 minutes, then stalled 1/2 mile on test drive. today it started up andi'm waiting for follow car to arrive for test drive. stalling occurs only when car is moving so i'm thinking it could be the camshaft position sensor or crankshaft position sensor. what di you think?
This could be a lot of things but I had a similar thing that was caused by the fuel pump. The fuel pump was going bad. This is just one possibility. What year Jeep? What engine? Need more info. When it stalls check for the following. Does it turn over but not start? Is there spark at the plug? Have you changed your fuel filter lately? Are you getting a check engine light?
need to check fuel pressure when its not starting. Also you may have a ASD or a Fuel pump relay going bad. Swap with know good one like the AC or the horn and test.

- If its not starting spray some brake clean in the throttle. If it starts you need a fuel pump

- When it does not start you need to check fuel pressure with a gauge or spray brake clean. You feel its a sensor you will need to check it with a waveform viewer or multimeter. As far as guessing. We could do that. But to guess wrong gets expensive. Thats why everything is capable of being tested. As a guess you could also have a bad computer, coil, ignition module, loose wire somewhere. As you can see, diagnosing a problem is the least expensive route to go.
you need to detemine if the problem is fuel (lack of) or ignition. Connect fuel pressure guage to fuel rail and drive and observe fuel prssure when it stalls out. if the fuel pressure stays within spec. then check for lost ign. spark and or injector pulse. If both spark and pulse are missing most likely you need a crank position sensor.

- As I said before, check the fuel pressure. If you do not have a f/p guage then next time it dies get a can of carburetor cleaner and have someone crank the engine over while you give the engine short blasts of carb spray .If it starts you know it's a fuel problem at that point. Then you will need to make sure the pump is still getting voltage. The pump should get energized for a couple of seconds upon turning the key to the on position. So make sure you have your test light hooked up while the key is turned on and observe test light. It is easier to have another person turn the key while you look at the light.
