i need to take off my rear disc to get to my rear disc cover as it is loose and making an awfull sound i have taken everything of apart from the big bolt holding the disc on in the centre if i take the bolt out is there any of the hand brake system in side that i have to be carefull with as mine is all in one aparantly so how do i go about taking it of correctly thanx ....andi
you dont take off the nut in the middle! there should be 2 set screws to hold to rotor in place. the inside of the rotor acts like the parking brake drum. you will need to chalk the wheels and release the e-brake. they do sometimes stick therefore you will need to take a thick piece of wood and place it on the back side of the rotor and hit moderately with a hammer till it comes loose. it will then be necessary to pull off square due nto the e brake assembly inside. nothing too fancy however you will now need to retorque that nut to about 200-250 ft lbs. be careful.

I have a 330Ci 2001 BMW and I am having a problem with my driver side window. When I shut my door the windows will adjust, but the driver side window does not and my light indicating the driver's side door is open comes on and stays on. What can cause this?
