Problem for Ford 1998 Escort

My ford escort has problems with the heating/air

My ford escort has always had problems with the heating/air conditioning unit. It leaked at first and has been replaced, then it just stopped working all together. It was replaced twice more, then the engine was replaced and it doesn't work again. Wouold get it replaced but, I don't want to keep replacing it over and over again. Please help.

- Thanks for respomding. I belive it was the air compressor. But it was replaced twice already, and I don't know what has happend now. The fan isn't even running. Thanks

What was replaced? There are alot of parts in an a/c system. Evaporator core,condenser,compressor,ircm,lines etc.
