The speedometer on my 99 alero just got stuck at

The speedometer on my 99 alero just got stuck at 140. I restarted it but the needle does not budge. At the time is happended the car shorted out and acted like it was going to die but then didn't and drove fine. The only problem was a stuck speedometer. How do I get it back to zero?

LIGHT TAP AT IT BY HAND.IF YOU STILL CANT GET IT TO MOVE.ITS PROBABLY STUCK OR BROKE.
