2001 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8. Guys, I have looked for this question even here and I can not get a clear and transparent answer.

You make it sound like it's our fault you can't find it :>D

The start of production of the Audi A4 B5 is 1994. With minor changes, it was produced until 2001. At first, only the sedan version was available, the station wagon (Avant) appeared a year later. This material provides information on relay circuits and fuses Audi A4 b5 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, with an assignment of their elements and locations.

Can't get much clearer than this. Relay 4 is one plus 'Additional Relays 23 and 24. Plus fuse 23 and 24.

My audi A4 2004 Avant electric front driver window and electric mirrors have stopped working and the interier lights only go off if you switch them off manually. Any ideas

each door has a control unit that controls the electrics for that door. the signal, power supply or earth wires tend to break in the rubber boot between the body and door. a diagnostic check should give you an idea where the problem is.

I have a 1998 Audi A4 Avant station wagon with the radio displaying safe on the screen. How do i reset this with a concert radio in the wagon

You need to use a code which came with the care when new. If you don't have it your dealer will be able to get if for you (for a price).

Fan on Audi A4 Avant not working

'Fraid I can only vouch for the A6, but the A4 is very similar and has many common components. On the A6 it's reasonably easy, as the access is from behind the glovebox on the inside and under a filter next to the battery on the outside. Audi's are notorious for having burnt-out/seized heating blower fans, so your diagnose is probably correct... :(

1998 Audi Avant A-4 wagon speed control problem

Yes it is a known failure of the combination switch (the switch assembly on the left side of the column, comprising the turn signal/cruise control stalk and the headlight stalk). They're a problematic part of the B5 chassis (model year 96-01) A4 cars. The fix is to replace the switch assembly, which involves removing the airbag and steering wheel. It's not a difficult job but I recommend having it done by an experienced technician if you haven't worked with airbags before. For the part, you can find them on eBay or at Audi salvage yards like www.shokan.com (who will ship it to you), or you can spend about $150 or so for a brand-new one from www.ecstuning.com, www.germanautoparts.com. Honestly, I'd just buy a new one - if you get a used one, it may last years, or it may last days, and there's no way to know beforehand.

If you're in the northern PA, southern NY area, I can do the work for you with no trouble. Otherwise, find an independent Euro specialty shop in your area - they'll have the experience with the Audi but won't charge as much as a dealership.
