- I HAVE A MODUS SCAN TOOL. INJECTOR RESISTANCE IS AT SPEC. COOLING FAN WORKS , A/C WORKS , SPEED O METER. WORKS. GROUND CIR. # 456/ 1234 UPSHIFT / TRACK LIGHT. AND LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON. REMOVE INST PANNEL AND THERE IS NO WIRES TO LIGHT IN DASH. CAR DOES NOT HAVE TRACK CONTROLL OR ABS. CHECK RESISTANCE TO EGR AND PURGE SOLENIDS. AND THEY ARE AT SPEC. ENGINE HOT AND COLD. RESISTANCE WAS 20 OHM. REPLACE COMPUTER AND STILL SETS AFTER 10-15 SEC. AFTER ENGINE START UP.

- YES I CLEARED THE COMP. AND YES THE SOLINOIDS WORK CONTUNALY AND NO OTHER CODES ARE WITH THE 26 CODE.

- ALL COMPONANTS TESTED INDIVTUALLY & ALL CIRCUITS WERE CHECKED FOR CONTINUITY ALONG WITH ALL POWER & GROUNDS
First, did you clear the computer after you worked on it? I see the code can also go for the Coolant fan relay and the A/C relay. You did check the EVAP system for resistance but does it work consistently? Same thing for EGR.
Anyway, try these 2 relays I mentioned and let us know if it helped.

- Hello, no luck yet? When you tested the components and read the results, did you read the results at each component? You problem might be the feed wire to the computer. If your components are throwing results down a dead wire, the computer is going to say the components are bad because it is not receiving the signals at its end.

- I did more research on your problem. There were 2 engines for your car. Do you have the correct ECM? When you start your car the ignition module controls base RPM and controls. Then the ECM throws a 5 volt signal to the ignition module and tells the ignition module it will take over. At that point, the ECM checks the values of the engine controls. This is probably the 10-15 second interval you said it has before it throws the 26 code.
A web search "false Saturn code 26" showed an article G.M. ECM Resets by Roy, BAT Auto Technical, Tech Editor. He says Part 2 of his article covers false 26. This is a paysite, I am not a member but you may want to join.
Since one motor for your car is a SOHC and the other is a DOHC, the values for the ECM are different. You may have to reprogram the ECM.
My suggestion would be to contact a local dealer and have them run the diagnostic (usually under $100), then if the part is easily replaceable, do it yourself. If it's more involved, then bargain with the dealer on a good price to have the problem fixed.
I truly hope that the Quad Driver itself isn't what's causing the code.

- Is it possible that the Quad Controller itself is faulty?
Just because you have a Quad driver code doesn’t mean the Quad driver is bad. All a Quad driver code means is that an expected value is not present when it’s suppose to be. Also a Quad driver is a techy name for 4 on-off switches arranged in a group, hence the name Quad driver. The computer watches the voltage values on each switch and knows that if the switch is on, a voltage value will be seen. When the switch is off the opposite voltage value will be seen. Simply put, light on, light off. So what can set a quad driver code? You’d be surprised. How about a bad bulb? How about a bad fuse? The answer is yes to both questions. Yes, a bad bulb or failed fuse can set a Quad driver code. Start with checking your fuses. There can be up to 3 fuses that supply power to circuits controlled by the Quad drivers. If the fuses are good the next check would be of all or some of the following, depending on how your vehicle is equipped: Up shift light bulb, coolant hot bulb, shift to drive bulb, A/C relay, coolant fan relay, EGR solenoid, Canister Purge solenoid, even a speedometer output signal goes to one of the switches on the Quad driver. It’s more likely that the Quad driver code is present because the computer is not seeing the information that it expects to see at one of the switches.
Quad/Output Driver Module: The Control Module in this vehicle controls most components with electronic switches which complete a ground circuit when turned on.
When the switches are arranged in groups of 4, they can independently control up to 4 outputs and are called Quad Drivers.
When the switches are arranged in groups of 7, they can independently control up to 7 outputs and are called Output Drivers.
the most common issue i have seen with this code is the cooling fan circuit and / or a/c circuit. very common to have bad temp sensors also. hope this help you. let me know what you find and i can help more.
