I have a VW polo 1995. It has always taken quite a few turns to start. But the number of turns has always been consistent until recently. After a long drive and the vehicle left overnight, the vehicle didn't want to start but eventualy fired up. When driving and particularly changing up, the car would start to miss. The car failed at a set of traffic lights while stationary but restarted immediately. The car also appeared to be gobbling the fuel. I pulled over, removed the air filter cover and had a look. Nothing obvious but for some reason I've suspected the inlet temp sensor in the past for the poor starting. On driving back, the car performed as normal, no missing. The following day, still problems starting but the car drove as normal with the occasional miss. Any advice would be helpful

New model 99 Jetta. My sunroof was only sliding back on one side and part of the tilt arm was broken. I got a new sunroof assembly and pretty much have it installed, but the glass was in the wrong position for the screws, so I attached the motor and it would only tilt up and down. Not slide back, there is a little noise like the motor is trying to slide but then stops, what could be the problem? The chains look good, is there some other way to check them?
