towing something is the same as normal driving except you have more weight and mass to deal with. Drive the vehicle as you normally would but pay additional attention to turns, stopping distances and pulling out into traffic ( which will be slower).
NEVER exceed the rated towing capacity of the vehicle or the fitted towbar..and always use all the safety features ( safety chains, trailer brakes etc)..
The transfer case settings are reliant upon the driving conditions.
remember that pulling extra weight will mean slower accelleration and longer braking, wider turns and an increase in fuel consumption and wear and tear on the vehicle..
If you are in any doubt about the cars ability to safely tow, or your own confidence in driving whilst towing ( no insults intended - many drivers are apprehensive about towing the first couple of times) try towing away from busy roads to get the feel of how the vehicle behaves with the added load and work your way up to busier roads..
