When the abs light comes on your car is letting you know that it has shut down the abs system because of a problem. so you are braking with regular conventional brakes which is perfectly safe. any time a component of the antilock brake system malfuntions the abs system is shut off and the light will come on to let you know. the most common problem is that the wheel speed sensors go bad. a trouble code will be stored in the abs control module you can have the abs module scanned to see what the problem may be. But dont worry you car is safe to drive. you just dont have the antilock brake option.

When your ABS light stays engaged after inital startup then that signifies a problem with the ABS system itself.Normally, this does not make the vehicle unsafe to drive, unless there is a noticeable fluid loss, which would give you a very poor brake pedal.Although this vehicle can still be driveable, the ABS sytem will not work, properly.........You can physically check the brake fluid level under the hood, and even remove the wheels to look at the brake material itself, but normally ABS lights signify a greater problem, which would require a scan tool (which runs about $800 U.S. Dollars) to diagnose properly.I hope I could help......rate me accordingly

Parking lights stay on

Great news I just got a letter from Chrysler corp, saying that there is a warranty extension or recall on some 2005 & 2006 Chrysler Town & Country for a headlight / parking light issue , it states that if a problem arises with the headlights or parking lights it is most likely a faulty switch and that Chrysler will replace it for free , My suggestion is is to call or stop in at your nearest Chrysler dealership's service dept. and check to see ( and verify) if your vehicle's problem would be covered under this particular warranty.

ABS light stay on all the time when car is running

you most likely have a bad sensor. when they get wet they are done. parts stores dont typically ahve the scanner for the abs. you will have to go tothe dealership. ABS parts are expensive so you dont want to start throwing parts at it guessing whats wrong.

2006 Town & country makes clicking sound when breaking. Sounds as if coming from passenger side. Checked the front brakes & they're fine. They were repaced with new brakes & rotors 2500 miles...

As Chrysler says You may experience the following when the brake system go into Anti-lock.....The clicking of solenoid valves. When they changed the brakes did they damaged the ABS wheel speed sensor. It is mounted on the front axle on the back side of the brakes. Sensor & harness are one piece & must be replace toghter

The abs light goes on and off in a 2000 town & country lxi (awd) how do I fix this?

The Anti lock Braking System (ABS) is a major component required to ensure safe driving. Don't try and repair it yourself, (unless your a qualified mecvhanic), take it to a certified mechanic or the dealer for repair.

Airbags and ABS lights are on, A/C and Turn signals do not work

I would take to a reputable mechanic to have a diagnostic performed. Sounds like you have a serious electrical problem.
