Recently I have purchased a used 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 5.3 liter v8 w/rear a/c. When I turn on the rear a/c water comes pouring out leaking into the inside of the vehicle. I assume that the rear a/c evaporator drian tube is either plugged or disconnected. If this is the problem could you please advise where that evaporator drain area is and how I can check it. Thanks.

I was also getting air only out of the defrost vents.

Check and make sure seals are even not warped. Check for rust around the are where it's leaking. If you have a compressor with a blow gun blow along the area where the water is leaking in. If you feel air coming through the area check and make sure the weather stripping is sealing properly. Doors could be out of alignment as well causing the leak. Or door seals could be rotting out.

I know the earlier tahoe's have two heater lines running from the engine compartment to the rear under the vechile. Those lines could be clogged or pinched shut. What you do is get two hose locking pliers. Go under your truck, they are two metal lines that turn into rubber and back into metal again farther down the line. First, checked for pinched lines. If none, find where the rubber hoses are, clamp them off, remove from metal lines and drain. Use garden hose to flush fresh water through. When water comes through at high pressure and pretty clear, it should be done. Reconnect hoses, top off radiator fluid and it should be fine.
