i have a 2003 -2500hd chevy dura max.diesel-- about 20 months ago started to have a problem with not starting.replaced the fuel filter primed the pump as manual describes. still would not start.had it towed to mr. good wrench who then called the next day to ask why we brought it in.when we told him of the problem he said that it started just fine they just primed the pump some more. charged a service bill to prime it.(by the way this was in march o8) about three months later the same thing happened. so we bought a new fuel( which costs $35-40 depending where you get it).primed it and worked great for another 2 1/2 months where we repeated the process again. it worked good until march/april09 we then decided to take it in again to a diferent mech.and have the tank pulled out and lines pressured checked. they said the tank was clean with no leaks in the system.charge$165. mr.goodwrench wanted $450.they put the tank back in and reprimed the system. worked well for about a month. then spitting and sputtering the engine light comes on.they told us to bring it back when it happened again so we did. the code they say in the computer said fuel being cut off. but no problems to be found why. we then got it back and they said drive it see what happens they replaced some sort of sensor but said it might not work.check it out.if the problem happens again then they will send it to this guy that only works on diesels. well it did it again we took it there and the check engine light was on again. it took 2 weeks before we got the truck back and he could not find a reason why this was happening either. all sensors were working and such. he did not charge anything either because he said that it was the same result as the previous place who refered us. we have been able to reprime the pump and make it last for a month or two. but today we left and had to reprime it about every 7/10s of a mile or so it took longer and longer between primings to get it running.also about the cluster panel is there a recall on that? i had the speed guage go up to 120mph while going about 50-55mph and at stand still it only went down to 65mph.it cost $420. to replace it. and the same thing happened to my 2004 chevy work truck it has less than 95000 miles and by the way the dura max only has 112500 and the problem started with about 94000. i need help to try and resolve this problem thanks

I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LT with Duramax Diesel. I have recently lost all brake pressure and can depress brake pedal all the way to the floor. My ABS light came on yesterday while spinning tires in 4wd low and applying brakes. It went away, but when getting unstuck and driving away lost brake pressure. I believe I leaked brake fluid at some point and think that I probably blew my brake line. How should I approach fixing this myself.
