Problem for Chevrolet 1994 S-10 Blazer

1994 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, not going in to Four Wheel Drive.

When I push on the four wheel drive switch, on the left side of the dash. to activate the four wheel drive. The lights cycle and then stay out, no four wheel drive. Some times I can hear the gears trying, Still nothing. I do this, out of gear, motor runing. My mechanic tryed to reset the system, nothing. Wants to put in the shop! It worked fine and then an hour latter nothing.

could be a bad 4wd actuator or solenoid- those arent terribly expensive to fix- but a bad transfer case is expensive. either way id recommend putting it in the shop if you need 4wd
