check engine light and reduced power light are on at the same time. power is greatly reduced. what could be the problem? 2001 isuzu trooper. need help, please.

Pluged E G R valve and confused E C M as a result is likely...Pull vacuum hose off at E G R valve (engine cold please) If metal tube pluged up clean out with 1/8" drill bit.Vacuum test with hand pump (should hold pressure when pumped up and relieve as you you relieve tool valve) if available if not try it out on the road after reaming.
