Basically, my daughter parked the car perpendicular to the curb on a high crowned road. We had a flood and the front end of the engine compartment got flooded before she could get it towed. The water was high enough to completely soak the carpet inside the car to about 2 inches.
The car turns over but will not fire up. Air filter is dry and never was wet from the beginning. Oil has been changed out just in case water got in through the dipstick but no water seen when I drained it and the oil did not look milky. I've let the engine dry for 4 days now. It's a distributoress system, so I pulled a coil and spark plug which looked dry. The inside of the fuse link boxes in the engines look dry. All the fuses related to the ignition and fuel systems look ok. All the appropriate lights come on in the car without issue.
Where should I start looking and testing? Does anyone have any experience with common parts that get damaged in this kind of situation?
