I have a 1995 camaro with3.4 liter I was traveling

I have a 1995 camaro with3.4 liter I was traveling on the highway with the cruise control set and out of no where it lost all power. it didn't die but will not accelerate it will start and idle very rough but will not acceerate at all. the fuel pressure checkes out ok and is getting fire. tried replacing the map censor and it made no change. Any advice ?

Check the throttle position sensor,with a ohm meter,and see if there is a dead spot in the sensor.Also check the reference voltage at the knock sensor,it should be 5 volts,use a digital volt meter only.If there is not 5 volts at the knock sensor,replace it.Check the e g r valve,and make sure it is not stuck open.Also check the output voltage at the battery,while engine is running,it should read,13.65 to 14.25 volts.If it less than this,the alternator needs to be replaced.I hope this was helpful,If so,please let us know.
