KEY WILL NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION UNTIL THE HOOD IS OPENED AND THE LATCHED IS FOOLED WITH FOR A LONG TIME. tHIS IS FOR A 1999 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER.

I don't have a solution and I can't imagine how the hood affects the key but would you tell me how you figured out that opening the hood and fooling with the latch would allow the key to be removed. I'm curious.
