Ok so basicLly I'm trying to figure out what my car is telling me what's wrong. You know the little lights on the dashboard that tells you "low gas" "service engine" or a "door is open".. Well there is one that has half a car with a screw pointing towards the tire that's stayed lit for the last few days, I'm trying figure out what that light means? It could be what you answered above tho...Ok so basicLly I'm trying to figure out what my car is telling me what's wrong. Re: Little light with half of the car (looking at it
YOU MAY NEED HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT,PARK ABOUT 10 FEET FROM A WALL, TURN THE SCREW FROM THE TOP TO ADJUST THE LIGHT AS THE OTHER SIDE, UNTIL THEY LOOK THE SAME ON THE WALL ,VERY EASY

Mark, The idle adjustment screw for the vg30e is on the driver side of the intake manifold. It will be on the underside of the manifold right next to the firewall with the head facing the brake booster.
The screw is about the size of a dime and is sometimes covered with sealant or a rubber plug (not needed).
Make 1/4 and half turn adjustments revving the engine lightly and letting it settle OUT it faster (counter clockwise).
Factory idle with everything off and IACV plugged in is 750 +/- 50 RPM
You may find 800-850 is a little smoother, no need to go over 900.
run a ruler between the two points and half way will be half the distance of the ruler measurement multiplied by the scale of the map example if the ruler is 6 inches between the cities and half way is 3 inches and the scale is I inch equals 300 miles then 3 inches will be 900 miles ( scale is on the front or back of the map)
Follow the hoses from the radiator until you find what looks like a little plastic screw. This is an air bleed. Top up the water and run the engine while keeping the screw open until water comes out, then close it.
most gm vehicles have a two piece back seat; you have to remove the bottom first. there are two screws on a little vertical section of floorboard under the front of the seat; remove them, then push the seat back just a little and remove the lower section. then you will see two more screws which hold the backrest; when you remove them just lift up and remove the backrest. you can reinstall the lower section if you want.
I just did this today..After you put the headlight back together there are two other small adjustment screws on the left and right side of that little window on top of the headlight...they are just smaller versions of the torx screws you loosened to get the headlight out...one will control the up and down adjustment and the other controls the left and right....I pointed my lights at the wall and just slowly adjusted the screws until they were both even...
There is the dealer which i believe is around $200.00 and there is the DIY which will cause you to have many bad words to be used.
On a scale of 1-10 (10=engine rebuild), I would score it a 1.5. Here is a general approach, not intended as a detailed procedure. 1. Remove front wheel well front half splash guard, each side. There are about 2 screws and the guard pulls forward to seperate from the rear half.2. After removing the splash guard, you can access one screw that attaches the front fascia, each side.3. Then about 6 plastic push pin type screws along the bottom, underneath.4. About 5 push pin type screws on the top.5. Fascia should then simply pull forward. It is a bit bulky and an extra pair of hands is helpful.6. Then there are 3 screws to remove the headlamp assembly. Unclip the wiring harness.7. Then 4 screws to remove the bulb access cover plate.Bulbs are 9005 for high beam and H11 for low beam. Replace the little bulb.....I think it might be H3. Here is another way: For the fogs, need to remove front wheels and then remove the plastic wheel well liner (plastic push pins hold it in place). For the small bulbs in the inside corner of the headlight housing: Open hood. Remove air cleaner box for drivers side bulb access. For the passenger side, need to loosen the fuse box. Open cover, there is a deep nut that you need to get to with an extension. Then fuse box will be able to be pushed to the side so hand can fit to access back of light. You do not need to unplug any electrical connections, as you do not need to remove the fuse box. On the back of the headlight housing there are two light gray plastic covers, one behind, and one toward the center of the car. The one toward the center of the car needs to come off, I believe there is just one screw holding it on. Once this cover is off, I believe there is a little holder that twists off which has the bulb attached. The most difficult part is getting the bolt off that is deep down in the fuse box behind the passenger light. I believe I had to use a 8 inch extension with a angled socket attachment to get to it. I used masking tape to tape all the pieces of the socket apparatus I made together so that they would stay together and fall down into the fuse box (socket set isn't the greatest) Good luck and hope this helps.
take a phillips screwdriver, walk out to your car,
bend down in front of your brakelight and look for the four screws that hold the red plastic cover on to the car.
Unscrew these and KEEP them in your pocket.
with your thumb and first finger, grab the little bulb on the sides, puch in gently and you will feel it spring in and out. when its "in", twist it about a half an inch counter clockwise and it will spring into your hand!
take the bulb to and AUTO PARTS store and tell the cashier I need two of these. they will walk you over to the auto bulbs, and hand you a 2 pack of that exact bulb. go put it into your car. And make sure to use the screws in your pocket.
Tools REQUIRED: 1 phillips screwdriver.
Yes your fan relay has failed . Pull you right front headlight assem out . Look threw the holes in the plastic that the light assem set in, it is underneath the plastic screwed to the body. You can pull the grill assem off to get to it or you can cut a 2 by 2 inch hole where the channel is in the plastic where the headlight goes. Citting a hole there wont cause any problems. If you cut a hole , cut it at about the center of the channel at the half way point from the front to the back. This is a solid state relay so it looks different then your typical relay.
You will have to go through your mud guards. Remove your tire, and look inside your wheel well, you will see two part mud guard, front half and back half. Just remove the 7 screws from the front half, 5 on the wheel well itself, and two on the bottom, retaining screw to the bumper, now depending on which side you're looking at anywhere from 5-7 plastic pop-its. Use a flat tip screw driver to loosen the pins up, then remove the pop-it studs. There are two on the bottom front that connect to the vehicle frame. Once this is removed, you can access your headlight assemby to replace both bulbs. Note, you will have to do this to replace your fog light bulb should it go out as well.
