honda needs a new motor and has no battery but i wanna rolll it up my drive way and it wont go to neutral on a automatic

Probably has a lock. The key still needs to be in the on position to shift. nto sure if you'll need to put a battery in to make this happen.

Hook up some jumper cables to the battery cables on the honda, turn the key to on position and apply brake and then try to shift it. Some cars need power to allow shifter to dissengage. Or just unhook the shifter linkage from the trans. and shift it directly at the trans. just be sure the parking brake is on and wheels choked so it does not roll when you pop it out of park.

even easier than above, Stick the key in the small hole to the left of the gearshift, and push down lightly. Shift into neutral.
