1970 VW Beetle

I'm looking at purchasing a 1970 VW beetle. I'm concerned as it has rust underneath rear of passenger seat. One panel beater quoted $300.00 and another $2000.00. I understand rust is an issue with VW's. a) should I get the rust cut out buy the car or should I forget all about it due to the location of the rust?

How do i adjust the paasenger seat in my 1999 VW beetle?

There is a D shaped handle on the side of the seat nearest the door. Lift up on it and the seat back will fold forward, and the entire seat mechanism will lift up and to the front, giving your passengers room to get into the back seat. Simply push the seat back toward the rear of the car to set it back in place; it will lock itself down once it's back in its original position.

My 2003 VW turbo beetle makes a loud noise in the a.m.

I think you could
use this manual method instead.. My nephew who is a full time mechanic uses most of the times, and all mechanics look up to manuals. It's very easy he gets it from. www.reliable-store.com

2001 VW Beetle. The driver's front seat adjuster

I'm assuming you have manual adjustment seats. There is a spring underneath the seat that locks the end of the lever into corresponding notches in the seat frame rail. That spring has either fallen off or broken.

I need to know the number on the bearing for the 1970 beetle outer- rear please.

I suggest you purchase a repair manual for your car if you need part numbers. They are only about 15 bucks for your car. Alternatively, you can go to a beetle specialty shop and they should know what you need. One popular one is VW Parts Place Michigan. Google them, they have an online store.
