If it's a 3.5l, high side is near the air cleaner, low side is at the firewall. Econo means compressor is OFF when light is ON (backwards). A low charge will cause hot air on left and cold air on right vents.
sounds like the blend door motor is bad on the driverside, its located on the heater box, here a diagram to help you locate it.it is on the driverside of the box, heres a picture of it, this is a single zone yours is daul you will see the pass/side motor the driverside i pointed to its location on your car. hope this helps you.
are you not getting any air or hot air??? Here is a laundry list from my memory as to what may be causing causing the problem. 1. Low freon:car will act like this when it needs a freon recharge. Such did not solve my problem, however. 2. Stuck door. There is supposedly a "door" (for want of a better term) inside the heating/cooling system that regulates temperature and/or cabin airflow. The door opens and closes according to the temperature and and dual climate settings selected. If this door gets stuck, it causes hot to blow out drivers side and cool on the passenger side. 3. temperature sensor improperly reset. if the battery gets disconnected and reconnected improperly, it will cause a malfunction in the sensor responible for delivering the proper temp through the a/c system. Disconnect the battery and reconnect with negative terminal first; check all fuses that reference climate control, a/c , heater, etc in manual, remove for 15 seconds, reinsert or replace if necessary. 4. Computer malfunction. The problem may stem from the climate control interface itself (i.e. the thing with all of the temperature knobs and buttons). Replacing this is supposed to fix the problem.
BEFORE TRYING ANY PROCEDURE PLEASE CHECK THE RESPECTIVE PART
there is an actuator for the drivers side heater that opens the temp door. this motor actuator needs changing. so it is stuck in heat mode and now motor will not move door to cold.
warm air come out on the passager side you got dual heating control the motor that control the hot and cold is stuck that hapen when the car sit there a long time or the setting dont move if it passager side under the dash you got the heater box about 3/4 down you got a square electric motor start the car gently tap the motor with anything you got most of the time it gonna start moving play with the heater control to see it move good luck pierre
