I have a 1999 Ford Taurus and this car ran fine no noises or shakes. The Starter died and i paid to have it replaced brand new. My mechanic said that there was a bolt that went to the transmission that needed to be replaced. it was the bolt that shifts the transmission into gear. He said that is what was burning the starter out. is that true? 2nd, I had the bolt replaced and now the stearing is tight and a reddish-brown liquid is leaking from the left side of the car ( where the coolant and windsheild fluid holder is) in addition to that when i make turns, the car it makes a noise like a buzz saw and something under the car near the front bumper (it looks like a long sheet a metal about the legnth of the bumper) is hanging low and it scrapes when i leave a driveway, its not on ground but when you look at it there's holes where there was obviously screws or bolts of somekind. Could this have resulted from needing a new starter? If, not what do you think is wrong with this car?

the interiors door lights no longer operate the automatic door lock takes a much longer time to lock, and the door open sign stays illuminated when all doors are closed. Then after dring for 5 to 10 minutes it goes off the doors lock. What is causing this?
