Remove the door inner panel and look for a broken part in the window lift mechanism. Replacement is usually fairly easy. Be prepared to replace some of the panel plastic retainer pins which can break as you pry loose the panel edges. Use a two-pronged fork-like tool to remove the panel. You can find the tool and pins at your friendly auto supply house. The lift part may have to come from a Chevy dealer.

Depends on your skills of course. Take your time and do it safely but you likely can do it..
You will need a complete window regulator assembly. There is an electric motor that drives a cable around pulleys. The cables snap or burr and jam up.
Aftermarket suppliers now can get these as they are a common problem. Dorman manufacturing has them and they seem to be good quality. In Canada around $150 bucks.
