This is very common on Matrix/Corollas and is repairable by way of
replacement PCM to correct invalid parameters. the labor is low but the
part is very expensive.
Expect approximately $89 or less in labor, and $648 for the new PCM

Heard that the pressure control solenoid was covered by toyota if under 80,000 miles. I called and they said its not. Is there something I need to say or do. I don't want to pay the cost of this default that I did not cause. Car has only 46,000 miles. Check engine light is on, it jerks when shifting, and the computer diagnostic said P2716 pressure control solenoid.

I have a 2006 Toyota Matrix, Base model, with an automatic transmission. I find that when the engine has been in use and is hot it will not start again, or it will take several attempts. Also the transmission has difficulty going from Park to either Drive or Reverse on the occasion that the vehicle does start when the engine is hot/warm. Any ideas of where to look or what would cause this?
