Did the belt originally burn up and that's why you are putting one on? If so then the cause of the first one failing was probably due to a pulley being locked up. For ease of replacement and cost hopefully it is your idler pulley. I would take the belt off and try to turn every pulley by hand.

I have a vacume leak on a 98 blazer and now the 4 wheel drive doesn't engage even though I can hear the click of the module, and the lights are workin on the dash.I believe it has something to do with the vacume leak , and need a diagram for the vacume on this vehicle
