Which mass air flow sensor fit ?

which mass air flow sensor best fit my 1990 Volvo 740GLE? (16V, B234F, non-turbo engine) My check engine light came on. Every auto part store I called, dealers, websites all pointed at Bosch part# 0280-212-016 or 0986-280-101, Volvo part# 8251497 but I tried put on the original part which is Bosch #0280-212-016, the car start it to shake and then die. Currently I have Bosch# 0280-212-007 on.

Why are you changing around on part no.s They are all calibrated to a specific application. Get the same part no. as what was removed.
