1996 VW Jetta electrical problem

I have a 1996 VW jetta GL. I put a charger on the battery for a day and it charged the battery, but it also blew a fuse in my fuse box marked (fuse #15 10amp engine electrical) as soon as i replaced the fuse and turned the key it blew again. Can you please give me some helpful advise?

YOU NEED TO SEE WHAT FUSE IS BEING BLOWN,,SAMPLE RADIO,LIGHTER,HEATER SAMPLE RADIO NEED TO CHECK RADIO CONNECTIONS? LIGHTER, CHECK IF BURNED,HEATER CHECK WIRES TO THE HEATER CONTROLS ,ETC

the battery was charged backwards,or the battery is hooked up backwards.
