Is the vehicle Diesel or Petrol/Gasoline if its a petrol/Gasoline engine it may not have a fuel filter you can change its usually a micro filter inside the fuel tank that is a life long filter. Crazy I know but this is the case in a lot of Petrol cars

Several things can contribute - dirty air filter, cheap gasoline (summer gasolines are manufactured with an ethanol component that typically reduces mileage as much as 15 %), dirty fuel injectors, etc. Not like bad plugs unless you have unusually high mileage on your vehicle.
First - check the air filter, then add some Gumout Fuel Injector Cleaner, and then switch to Shell or Marathon gasoline. No real good way to get around the ethanol issue.
the guy is an idiot , there is no gas filter on the car, it is inside the gas tank and it is inside the gas pump not accessible to be changed, nissan really screwed consumer here because the new gas pump is 570 dollars... thank you nissan for screwing me.....
if the filter is near the pump, the fuel pump generally is in the tank, it is electric. My bet would be that the filter is somewhere in the undercarriage, easily accessible, in the fuel lines. You will have to follow the fuel lines coming out of the tank to the motor compartment. if it is not anywhere there, check the firewall, taht is a common chrysler placement for a fuel filter
FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT 1.Reduce the internal pressure of the fuel lines and hoses by completing the following operations.
a.
After removing the rear seat cushion, disconnect the fuel pump harness.
b.
Start the engine. Allow it to stop by itself, then turn the ignition switch OFF.
c.
Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
d.
Connect the fuel pump harness connector.2.Remove the eye bolts while holding the fuel filter nuts securely.Cover the fuel filter with a shop towel to avoid residual gasoline from splashing.3.Remove the fuel filter mounting bolts, then remove the fuel filter from the fuel filter clamp.4.After replacing the fuel filter, check for fuel leaks.
