The 2006 RL headslights are horrible. On low beam there is like a curtain that comes down and you can only barely see the road, and you cannot see anything above the hood of the car! Many people have blogged about this...is there a fix? It is dangerous to drive at night. I have to have my high beams on all the time to see street signs, deer on the side of the road, people walking, etc. The only time it is ok on low beams is when the road has a slight INCLINE. But a dip in the road or windy road or decline and you are screwed!

Thankyou. We will try that altho they say they are only able to raise them within factory specs. i wonder if a good mechanically minded person can raise them more???

2006 RL headlamps are similar to 2005 TL headlamps. We owned a 2005 TL (great car). The headlamps are HID (high intensity discharge) and many people don't like the sharp cutoff that they have. Your only option other than driving with the high beams on is to have them professionally re-aimed. This may or may not help the problem. Take it to your Acura dealer and talk to the service department about this.

Sorry, I wish there was any easy fix.

2006 grand prix low beam headlight do not work, high beams work fine?

I'm having the same issue. I have changed the bulbs and fuses. I can't find a relay but I don't think that is the issue. Some other people have suggest the Dimmer Control Switch. I am working on that. Please let me know what you find out.

Low beams stopped working simultaneously

Well I would certainly check the fuse because that both lights burned out. If only one had burned out I would replace the bulb. If the fuse is good I would purchase 1 bulb and see if the new bulb works. Often times people will replace both bulbs because they come in 2 packs cheaper than singles. This also can cause both to burn out at the same time. Check the fuse and then replace a light, if replacing one light works replace the other, this should cure the problem.

Low beam lights

There are two seperate headlight modes on a vehicle.
The "high" beam mode is for driving were you have no on coming traffic. You will be able to see further down the road and the lights appear brighter.
The "low" beam function is meant for on coming traffic and certain weather conditions such as the presence of fog, rain or snow. The low beams will point slightly down and to the right so as not to "light blind" an on coming driver and allows you to see the edge of the road.
Good luck on your road test, drive carfully.

1998 acura rl headlights dim

I would think ur low beams are burnt (the bulbs) because that dim light u see should be the daytime running lights, which are usually less bright that the lights turned on.
Verify ur fuses as well for the low beams.
Check on that for now and get back to me if u have questions.
