cd player needs to be pulled out and sent in for repair, there is nothing the owner can do to fix this problem, the CD loading mechanism is defective. The factoy doesn't sell repair manuals or parts to the public, sorry, all car makers have the policy.

not always true about sending in for repair. i have a malibu maxx that does the same thing regularly. i disconect the battery let the whole car reset and it should read that there is a disc and work fine, at least for awhile. try it, if not send it in.
