- I would normally go along with the air in the brake lines, but this happened all of a sudden one day while driving. Just like a line burst.... (good brakes and, wham, the pedal went down almost to the floor board). I pulled over and checked all lines and fluid level. All was OK. I continued to drive it home and one other time as the brakes still work, but now it goes almost to the floor and the brake trouble light comes on. I am pretty sure when the booster goes out, the brake pedal gets really hard to push. Don't want to buy that if it is not the problem.
