i had my starter, battery and altenator stolen (with the wires from them cut) I have since replaced them all but now the car still wont start. It was ruuning fine prior to this . It will start with the quick start but not without it. There is no fuel coming out of the injector and none getting to the engine. Someone told me that it may need to be reset but they didnt know how to do it. Please HELP!!!! the car is a 1993 ford explorer
On the first generation explorers (1990-1994)there is a fuel shut off located in the passenger floor board. peel the carpet back and see if the red button is pressed down...if it is use a flathead to pop it back up. Im not sure how it would get tripped but this is the only way in first gens to disable the fuel pump without removing it. You can check to see is the pump is pumping by turning the key to the run position but do not start. As soon as you turn the key you hear the normal chimes but near your driver-side rear tire (tire closest to gas tank) you should hear a humming of the fuel pump for about 3-4 secs. after that it quits. It is doing this to prime the system. If you don't hear that low hum then ill bet your switch we talked about earlier is in the off position (the down position)
Hope this helps and if it did please rate this with the thumbs indicator beside it.
