What does your radiator fill tank look like? When is the last time you changed radiator fluid? If you have an oil leak into the radiator, combination produces a jelly like substance that may be what blocks the screen. You may need a radiator flush and refill.

Where is thermostat on 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport 3.7L V6

Follow the lower radiator hose from the radiator to the engine. It terminates into a device that bolts onto the engine block. Remove this device and the thermostat will be inside.

Car overheated and antifreze was boiling and spewing over until engine cooled. 2004 jeep liberty 2wd. Thanks!

Need to know what caused the overheating, possible broken serpentine belt, thermostat, water pump, radiator, fan clutch, cooling fan motor. After motor has cooled down fill radiator with water till full, look make sure serpentine belt not broke, start engine run about 5 minutes, turn off, let sit 3 minutes, start engine look at temperture gauge is it over half way of gauge, Do you have a fan blade driven by water pump or electric fans?

Need to know fluid capacity of differential (FRONT/REAR)and transfer case and how to change and what problem indicators to look for. 2004 Jeep Liberty 3.7L Automatic Thanks

Dont remember specific amounts for those but they are "fill till it comes out of fill hole" On flat level ground. About three gallons should do it with some leftover. Check with your parts house or dealer to make sure of what goes into the transfer case...many now use dextron III not gear lube.
Any excessive metal flakes in old lube indicates a problem with internal parts wear for either diffs or case. (everything wears so there is always some, it just shouldn't look like glitter paint)
There should be tow approx 1" nuts on the back of the case lower one is drain, upper to fill. Diff cover needs to be removed to drain. Fill through plug on cover.

How would you change the antifreeze

On most Jeep radiators, the drain is near the bottom of the right side radiator tank and usually difficult to reach and, most don't work right. I generally remove the lower radiator hose at the radiator. It does the same job, quicker and easier. Don't do this when hot, and be ready for a lot of antifreeze to drain fast. Re-fill slowly with engine running and heat on high. Make sure to wait for level to drop when thermostat opens, then finish filling and topping off.

2002 Jeep Liberty Radiator/trans cooler

If you want to install another cooler, you will have to put it in-line either bofre or after the radiator. I have a liberty as well, and have done much towing, and have never had the need for an additional trans cooler.
