check connections to the air solenoid and pcm, loose connection loose connector, shorted wires, open wires or a bad air solenoid, or bad pcm there are lots of tests to do for this code but always start with the basics

I think its either the gear itself or the syncros inside the tranny. Your lookin at a rebuild or a junkyard

definitely easier to remove the bed....unless you like the taste of dirt :-)....round up 3-4 buddys and everyone grab a corner after the bolts, ground straps, and fuel filler are loose, pick it up and set it back a foot or two (on the tires and bumper). That'll give you plenty of room to work.
