2000 Sentra 1.8 with 157,000 miles will stall at times when in idle or driving and would be difficult to restart. While driving RPM's will go up and down, car will **** and than at times stall out.The problem started about 2 months ago stalling 1 or 2 times but the last couple of days it would happen about 8 to 14 times. No engine light on or service engine so on.

I had a similar problem and resolved it by replacing the mass airflow sensor. Ive got 235k+ miles on my 1992 Maxima SE.
Still runs good but having problems with the alarm system.

I had this kind of problem on my car a couple of times. It can either be the idle control valve or overheating. you can clean the idle control valve or replace it. the one for my car was like $140 at the dealership.

Check out the catalytic converter, might be plugged up. I have seen some cars that will run fine, and like someone threw a switch the car acted like yours, no power, would not rev and died. Later when cold they would be OK for a while then just get worse and worse.

The oil change wouldn't cause this problem. Just in-case, check the engine oil level.
There are many emission sensors in the car that will make the engine light come ON. Best way to find out what's going on is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine code reader and tell you what the code means. Most auto-part store will do this for free.
