My tire pressure sensor will not turn off. It's at the repair shop and they can't get it to turn off either. The car repair shop said they have set it to spec and followed the instructions but that it will not turn off. What's the issue?

I believe your tire calls for 32PSI. Try to setting it to 36PSI and starting the car to see if it resets. If it does, you can let the extra air out. Sometimes a difference of 2-3 PSI from the set value won't reset it.

Some vehicles also require being driven at speeds above 40mph for about 15 minutes before the light will reset

- Also, check the spare tire to make sure it's at the correct pressure as that can trigger the light as well.

If none of this works, then you may have a bad sensor

when changing the tyre pressure on your car you will alter the set expectation of the tyre pressure indicator system, causing the yellow light and tone to indicate a problem.
1 after any tyre pressure alteration switch on your car engine and wait for the alarm to sound.
2. press and hold the tyre pressure indicator reset button situated between your gear leaver and ashtray in the middle console it is marked with the corresponding (tyre !) icon and the word reset after several seconds the sounder go off again and the warning light should go out. this will indicate a sucessful reset.
NOTE do not alter your tyre pressures outside the limited rages indicated by the sticker in your fuel cap cover. this can be dangerous and also cause exsive tyre wear and higher fuel usage.
drive safe.
if this does not remedy it your friendy service man at your VW dealer will be happy to assist. source (VW EOS user manual)
