2.3 L engine. Helps if you have air tool's. Any way, from under neath support engine point to the mount that you will be taking off. If the front trans mount, then you have to remove the complete assembly, and replace the mount then re-install the assembly. The rear trans mount is easier. Front engine mount, support under the engine and remove this from the top.

Iam no mech but is it hard 2 change the motor n transmission mounts in a 96 ford thunderbird 3.8 engine if it is whats the going price 2 do so i dont get taken

It is fairly easy to do if you have a lift, but it is possible to do on the ground with a jack and jack stands. You will need to be able to unbolt both sides of the mount and support the engine with the jack while you replace the mounts. If you download the autozone app to a smart pone or tablet it will give you a repair estimate calculator,

Change motor mount on a 04 mazda 6

FIRST YOU'LL NEED TO SUPPRT THE MOTOR WITH A JACK! UNBOLT THE MOUNT FROM MOTOR, JACK THE MOTOR UP TO CLEAR MOTOR MOUNT, AND UNBOLT IT FROM THE FRAME! REPLACE IT, BOLT THE MOUNT TO THE FRAME FIRST, THEN LOWER THE MOTOR BACK INTO THE MOUNT, AND REBOLT THE MOTOR!

Replacing motor mount

Put the car on ramps. Using a floor or scissor jack and a block of wood, find aa appropiate safe place to jack up the motor to relieve the tension on the motor mount you wish to replace. Remove the old mount and replace with a new one.

MY mechanic said my motor mount was broken (dogbone). I was a mechanic before I was a carpenter, can I replace this?

yes you can, fairly easy fix usually. requires you to get a new mount, support motor with jack and undo motor mount bolts, raise motor off the mount, replace mount, lower motor back into position, resecure motor mount bolts, and your done. usually just the rubber gets worn out on those things, pretty common.

Replace the engine motor mounts and the transmission mount. Would like to know how to do it. Thanks.

Check the frame mounts too. You will have to loosen the bolts and jack the motor up with a jack and a woodblock.
