How do i reset abs warning light on osmobile alero

use a scan tool to reset the light through the ECM

try to read and clear the fualt code with car diagnostic scanner

IF YOU SEE ANTI LOCK AND BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS YOU HAVE BRAKE FAILURE.NOT SAFE TO DRIVE CAR.BEST TO LET DEALERSHIP FIX ABS BRAKES MODULATOR MASTERCYLINDER UNIT AND THEY CAN RESET LOW TIRE LIGHT.VECHICLE NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.

LOOK FOR ETS BUTTON ON THE CENTER OF THE CONSOLE.THE INDICATOR LIGHT WILL TURN OFF BUT LONG AS CURRENT NEED TO LIMIT WHEEL SPIN THE TRAC LIGHT WILL REMAIN ON.TAKE VECHICLE TO GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP.HAVE THEM SCAN THE ABS AND TRAC CONTROL SYSTEM.MOST OF THE TIME A BAD WHEEL SENSOR WILL SET OFF TRAC WARNING LIGHT.

You have to fix the problem with the ABS first. If you have done this, you can reset the light by leaving the battery cable (negative cable) unhooked for 15 minutes. If you have a factory radio with OEM anti-theft, be sure you know the code before you unhook the battery.

no reset button.have the car anti-lock brake system scanned.to check code.because when anti - lock brake light come on.it can be many things.like faulty wheel sensor.faulty relay or the anti - brake unit low on brake fluid or the abs unit faulty.

check the abs sensors make sure they are connected. Also check your wheel bearings if faulty may cause these lights to come on.

low trac light and abs light run hand in hand. first thing id check is the code stored in abs module. youll almost guaranteed to find a bad abs wheel sensor--which to replace is a wheel hub assembly ....hope that helped you out

My GMC Dealer said that the problem is caused by a short in the ignition/electrical system. (seems to be a problem for many). He also said that the ABS will NOT actually work while the light is on! All my dash warning lights, radio/clock, and sometimes even ignition(turning key) have problems. The car is drivable but not working correctly. Short term solution: turn key ON, wait 10-15 min, turn off for a few minutes to 'reset' and then try to turn car on. Worked for me yesterday. Good Luck!

ur brain in the car needs to be reset if that does not work u might have to replace ur abs system u can take ur car to a local auto zone or advance auto and they can reset it and see if there is a error code with the light also some times the longer the light stays on or refuses to reset says there is a problem with u abs system
